CIS Membership is Open to All Christian Media Professionals

Has God called you to volunteer part time or work vocationally using your mass media skills and interests? If so, we are already praying for you and urge you to join us. CIS has been an organized, apostolic and missionary arm of the living Church of Christ since 1966. It is a tax-deductible, non-profit organization supported by a membership of concerned and interested believers from all walks of life and various faiths. Many of us as individuals are lifetime members of many professional groups such as our local Foreign Correspondents Club, National Religious Broadcasters Chapter, Society of Professional Journalists and various other academic, professional and religious organizations. We long to serve God and improve the welfare of mankind through better media services and communications.

1. CIS MISSIONS provides you with vocational guidance and a career path toward a lifetime of service to Christ. In this media age, CIS will help you train and support yourself in a missionary career. However God is leading you, CIS Missions will help you raise support and create your own brand to serve indigenous churches, populations and ministries in the USA and around the world.
2. CIS NEWS communicates and interprets the Gospel to a world in need, providing skilled professionals in communications disciplines such as advertising, book publishing, broadcasting, data base management, direct response media, graphics, marketing communications, magazines, newsletters, newspapers, news services, photojournalism and videography.
3. CIS MINISTRIES assists individuals and groups to provide strategic development and communications services to missions at every level, citywide, parish, national, international and minority populations.
4. CIS CHURCH GROWTH assists local churches and fellowships with full and part-time counsel and strategic media services. This includes weekend training seminars for spiritually gifted staff and volunteers.
5. CIS TOURS AND SEMINARS escorts and plans short term missions for disaster relief and vision sharing opportunities as well as training and developing local believers and national leaders in media outreaches.
6. CIS MEDIA FELLOWSHIPS provide help and encouragement to volunteers, supporters, and media professionals who need encouragement in order to resist the negative pressures of the world and culture in their local assignments.
